The Centre of Excellence in Nutritional Supplements Testing for Sportspersons (CoE-NSTS) provides product certification through stringent monitoring criteria designed to reduce the risk of banned substances in nutritional supplements. This program features comprehensive monitoring, authentic screening, and ongoing blind testing to ensure safety. All the product testing data will be displayed on the website for authentification. The final tested products will be certified as “NFSU-NSTS Trusted."
The center is accredited with ISO 17025:2017 and recognized by FSSAI. The product(s) will be screened for more than 230 substances banned in sports, including all major categories such as Anabolic Steroids, Stimulants, Hormones and Diuretics.
General Terms
- Registration is to be done with a minimum of two product types. (e.g. Whey Protein, BCAA)
- Product labels to send for approval for “NFSU-NSTS Trusted” logo uses.
- A product can only be released to the market with the “NFSU-NSTS Trusted” logo after issuing the product testing certificate.
- Initial Testing: This involves testing of representative samples (product finished batch) and major rawmaterials for each registered product and their associated flavours.
- Bi-Annual Testing: This process follows the same approach as the initial testing providing continuousreassurance and monitoring. Preferred batches should be recently manufactured or completed at that time.
- Blind Testing: The centre will consistently conduct blind product testing to maintain the integrity of theproduct through out the year.
